FairPlay Login Screen Explained — Official Fields and Quick Buttons

Open any working FairPlay address and the Login button sits at the top right of the home page. Tap it. What comes up is short, and honestly that is the point: two tabs, two fields, one toggle, two buttons and a small link. Here is what each one is for.

The app is the same story. The FairPlay Android app comes as an APK from the site rather than from the Play Store, and on an iPhone you add the site to the home screen from Safari's Share menu; both open onto the same login screen with the same two tabs. This is the route most people use, because every FairPlay account has a mobile number behind it. Four steps. In practice it is well under a minute once you have done it twice.

1. Find the entry point. On a desktop browser it sits in the top-right corner of FairPlay; in the Android APK or the iPhone shortcut it is the first thing on screen after launch.
2. Number field, ten digits only. FairPlay prints +91 inside the box already. If your keyboard autofills a saved contact with 0 or +91 in front, delete that bit, or the count comes out at eleven or thirteen digits.
3. Password next. Capitals matter here. Two seconds with the eye icon beats a lockout after the fourth wrong try.
4. Tap Login. If FairPlay asks for an OTP as an extra check, it goes to that same number. Enter it and the wallet opens.

One more note that saves time. The number has to be the one on the account, not your current SIM if you changed phones. If FairPlay was registered on an old number you no longer carry, the password still works, but anything that sends an OTP will send it to that old number — and that is a job for the desk, not for the login screen.

FairPlay Login With User ID — Easy Route for Accounts With a Username

If you ticked "Want to set User ID" while registering, you have a second way in. Same screen, other tab.

1. Tap the User ID tab on the FairPlay login screen.
2. Type the username exactly as you set it. Spaces and capital letters count.
3. Type the same password you would use with the mobile number — it is one account, one password.
4. Tap Login.

If the User ID tab keeps saying the user does not exist, the likeliest answer is that no User ID was ever set on that FairPlay account. Go back to the mobile tab.

FairPlay Login by OTP — Instant Entry When the Password Slips

No password needed this time. Well — none typed; the FairPlay account still has one on file, and the next login on a new device will probably want it. The OTP flow itself runs like this:

1. On the login screen, switch on Login with OTP.
2. Enter the registered mobile number and tap to request the code.
3. Wait for the SMS. Give it a minute before asking for a second one, because two codes in flight is the easiest way to type the wrong one.
4. Enter the code and tap Login. The same FairPlay wallet opens as it would with the password.

OTP is handy mid-match when you cannot remember whether you changed the password last month. It is not a permanent substitute, though. The code only ever goes to the registered number, so if that SIM is in a drawer somewhere, OTP will not help and a FairPlay login password reset (or the desk) is the real fix. And a plain rule that FairPlay repeats itself: nobody from FairPlay asks you for that code or your password. Not on chat, not on WhatsApp, not ever.

Before You FairPlay Log In — Quick Checklist of Seven Things

Thirty seconds here avoids most of the error table further down. It is the same list the desk runs through when someone writes in saying the FairPlay login "just stopped working".

• The address actually opens — you see the FairPlay home page, not a browser error or a blank screen.
• Digits go in the Mobile Number tab; a username goes in User ID. Swap them and FairPlay answers with user not found.
• No +91 and no leading 0 in the number field.
• The phone with the registered SIM is nearby, in case FairPlay asks for an OTP.
• You are pressing Login, not Demo Login. Its an easy slip on a small screen.
• Caps lock is off, and the eye icon shows the password you think you typed.
• You have not already requested three or four codes in a row; if you have, wait a few minutes.

One composite case the desk sees every IPL season: a player in Nagpur messages mid-chase that his FairPlay login keeps failing. He had typed 0 before the number, then tried the User ID tab with his mobile number in it. Mobile tab, ten digits, done — about forty seconds.

FairPlay Login Problem Table — Real Error, Likely Cause, Quick Fix

Wording on screen can differ a little between the app and the site, so read the left column as "messages along these lines". The fixes are what actually gets a FairPlay account open again.

Two of those rows cover most real cases: the wrong tab and the blocked address. The first is a typing problem. Then log in exactly as before. Mobile number or User ID, password, Login. If the new address asks for an OTP the first time you use it on that phone, that's normal and it goes to the same number. Do not reset the password just because an address failed. I said that above. Saying it again because it is the single most common way a quick fix turns into a long evening.

A real password change is different, of course.
